Successful Practitioner Panel – Wahji Kasten ND, ND, LAc

Dr. Kasten is a First Nations Canadian. Wahji Kasten, ND, LAc received her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Antioch College in 2002. After working in a laboratory for several years she decided to pursue a career in medicine where she would be able to help people and utilize her scientific background. She graduated from the National College of Natural Medicine, now National University of Natural Medicine, in 2015 with a Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine and a Masters in Acupuncture.

Originally from Saskatchewan, Canada, she has lived in the Pacific Northwest for over a decade, and now calls it her home. As a Canadian First Nations woman herself she is dedicated to improving the health of Aboriginal peoples everywhere. When she is not treating patients Dr. Wahji enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She has enjoyed gardening and cooking since a young age and believes that learning to prepare healthy, nourishing food that tastes wonderful can be an empowering way for everyone to improve their health.

Web Workshops – Kronda Adair

Kronda Adair is the founder of Karvel Digital, a WordPress consultancy and development business. In addition to developing websites, Kronda gives business owners the training they need to own and manage their digital presence.

She is a regular speaker at Wordcamps and other tech conferences, and has been a guest on popular industry podcasts such as WP Elevation, Revision Path and The Matt Report. She has given talks on WordPress deployment processes, successful site planning, starting your own business, and more.

Her latest project is Websites That Work, an online course to give small business owners the training and tools to create successful websites that help grow their business.

When she’s not working, she can be found enjoying time at home with her wife and two cats, reading dead-tree books, riding one of her five bikes, or enjoying the postcard vistas of the state of Oregon.

Billing and Coding Workshop – Elizabeth Russell, MBA

Elizabeth has a Masters in Business Administration from Marylhurst University and a Bachelor in Psychology from Humboldt State. Over the years, Mrs. Russell has gained experience in several medical practices serving a wide range of billing functions from front desk duties to billing and collections management. Mrs. Russell has developed strong working relationships with many insurance companies and the workman’s compensation division to help stay current with billing regulations and guidelines to ensure fast and accurate payment.

When not providing services for MTSL’s clients, Mrs. Russell enjoys spending time with her husband and kids, scrap-booking, and going to the coast.
