Join us at this inaugural symposium that welcomes professional healthcare providers, policy specialists, students, and members of the public to engage in presentations, panel discussions, and interactive consultations focused on exploring spirituality in medicine. Research indicates that the religious beliefs and spiritual practices of patients are significant factors in coping with serious illnesses, in making ethical choices about their treatment options, and in decisions about end-of- life care. Research also shows that religion and spirituality are positively associated with better health and psychological well-being.
