This workshop will allow individuals with basic billing and coding knowledge to understand a provider’s rights, responsibilities and options in dealing with insurance claims that have been denied. Whether you have a contract to provide services or are billing as a courtesy, you need to know how you can approach more complex aspects of getting paid without having to spend hours on each denial.

At the end of the workshop participants will:

  • Understand and differentiate between different denial types.
  • Know how to write an appeal letter, make a call for an appeal, file an appeal online or manually appeal a claim and which approach will maximize your payment.
  • Understand the follow up on appeals.
