Whether you are new to the field, a seasoned professional or an office manager, this workshop will help you understand the basics of billing. ICD codes and modifiers, CPT, NPI and taxonomy codes will all be covered. This event is designed to assist you in maximizing your profit, staying on top of your billing, and creating systems to streamline your medical billing processes.

Attendees of this workshop will be able to:

• Understand the basics of insurance billing process and guidelines for natural medicine providers
• Understand the need for assuring all documentation, benefits and responsibilities related to insurance verification are completed prior to the initial visit
• Manage medical chart outlines and guidelines, fee tickets, Superbills, and HCFA/CMS 1500 forms

Presenter

Mallory Espejo, CPC, is a certified medical coder with over 10 years of experience in the medical field. She has gained experience in several medical practices, serving a wide variety of functions from front desk to administration. Mallory is a co-owner and billing manager at MTSL Group where she oversees the daily billing operations, coding compliance, and provides ongoing physician billing/coding education. Her work ethic combined with her experience and passion for billing has helped naturopathic providers implement processes to improve charting documentation, reduce denials, and increase reimbursement.
