  • About
As a practitioner of Chinese Medicine, I am passionate about using ancient wisdom to address contemporary disease and cultivate wellbeing. I believe that every aspect of our lives affects our health. As your practitioner, I am on your team and will actively listen, maintain a compassionate space and work with you to provide tools for wellness and self-care. I am committed to helping you lead a vital life.  Born and raised in Northern Maine, I developed a deep connection to the natural world that remains with me today. I view the human condition as I do the wilderness: with reverence and fascination. Often, our internal landscape reflects the external world. For example, sitting at a desk all day can cause lower back pain and a stressful relationship can cause digestive problems. Disease is a sign of disharmony and can feel like a storm. Naturally, our bodies reinstate harmony. Yet, as in the wild, life throws storms that we cannot always weather alone. My specialties are Japanese acupuncture and moxibustion, bodywork, massage and Chinese herbal medicine.  Most treatments include body work which gives me diagnostic information about your health, while simultaneously offering you relief.  Japanese acupuncture and moxibustion provide a gentle, yet powerful, body centered approach. Chinese herbal medicine deeply treats both acute and chronic conditions.  I am available for home visits as well as office visits.  Background I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Human Ecology from College of the Atlantic where I studied the interconnectedness of humans and our environment. For years after college, I brought youth into the wilderness to teach them life skills and character development. The best part of this work was getting to know my students stories and encouraging their strengths. This joy and honor has transferred to the way I work with patients today.  In my free time I enjoy cooking (and eating) cultural dishes, getting my hands in the dirt, smelling the forest and adventuring with friends and family.  Specialities Musculoskeletal pain relief Geriatric care Pediatric care Women’s healthcare Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture
