Raymond Diaz, ND

Bio: Raymond Diaz trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy at Mchlofot Youth center in Anchorage Alaska graduated from John Bastyr University 1983 with a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree. He completed two years of residency at the National College of Naturopathic Medicine with a focus on psychologicaI naturopathic medicine. Ray was trained in Gestalt practice by Dick Price (cofounder Esalen Institute). He was also trained as body worker Touch for Health/Massage, and completed a five year teacher training at Corelight as a Psychospiritual minister, nondual training for teachers and therapists. He is the Founder of Opening To Life, a health and wellness collective, clinic and community space. He is currently President of the Naturopathic Psychospiritual Collaborative.

Philip Rouchotas, MSc, ND

Bio: Philip and his wife, Dr. Heidi Fritz, MA, ND, practice at the Bolton Naturopathic Clinic in Bolton, Ontario. Philip’s areas of clinical focus include mental health, autoimmune disease, and metabolic syndrome. He also serves as an Associate Professor at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM), responsible for delivery of the second year curriculum in Clinical Nutrition. Philip graduated from CCNM in 2004, preceded by an honours undergraduate degree and Masters of Science degree, both in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Guelph.

Kabran Chapek, ND

Bio: Dr. Chapek is a staff physician at the Amen Clinics, a world leader in psychiatric assessment using a sophisticated brain-imaging technology called SPECT (Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography). Dr. Chapek has extensive experience in the assessment of the mental health and brain problems. In particular he is one of the leading physicians in the assessment and treatment of traumatic brain injuries in combination with SPECT imaging and the treatment of such. Dr. Chapek studied human biology at the University of Kansas followed by naturopathic medicine at Bastyr University in Kenmore, Washington.

With an interest in the mental health care field, he received his clinical psychiatric experience from 2007 to 2013 while treating patients with severe mental illness in a partial hospital program as part of a multidisciplinary team. In addition to lecturing at Brain Injury conferences and locally on a variety of Health topics related to psychiatry, Dr. Chapek is also featured in a documentary at and is a regular guest on local radio shows such as the Natural Choice Directory Network.

Joshua Donaldson, ND

Bio: Dr. Josh Donaldson began his educational career at the University of Oregon where he obtained a B.S. in Sports Medicine and Biology. He then worked as a Physical Therapy Asisstant & Fitness Trainer for several years before obtaining his doctorate (N.D.) from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, OR. Following medical school, Dr. Donaldson completed a post-doctoral research fellowship as a Clinical Research Nutritionist at the Rath Research Institute in Santa Clara, CA. This was then followed by a private 1-year residency at the Center for Pain Management in Los Gatos, CA.

Since then, he has been in clinical practice where he specializes primarily in Regenerative Injection Therapies (Prolotherapy, PRP, etc.) for chronic pain and sports injuries as well as IV Therapy such as NAD for mental/emotional/addiction disorders, Ozone Therapy for cancer, Lyme, CFS, autoimmune disease & Chelation therapy to name a few. In addition, Dr. Donaldson has a passion for education and has served as an Adjunct Professor at local Community Colleges & Universities in the Bay Area since 2006. He has been a guest speaker at various conferences on Ozone Therapy, Prolotherapy & NAD. He also offers Corporate Wellness Programs throughout the Bay Area and leads Cleansing & Addiction Detox Retreats in Mexico & Hawaii.

Lydia Bartholow, DNP, PMHNP, CARN-AP

Bio: Lydia Bartholow is an educator, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, herbalist, and organizer. She focuses her practice on mental wellness and radical public health. Her past and current roles in providing care include an emphasis on harm reduction, trauma-informed care and health justice. She speaks and teaches frequently about the physiology of trauma and oppression, and about the physiology of health disparities. Additionally, she also teaches classes on herbalism, nutrition, harm reduction, motivational interviewing, and addiction.

James Massey, ND

Bio: Jim founded the first health food store in Durham, NC in 1975. He sold Beautiful Day Natural Foods in 1980 and began his studies at NCNM in the fall of 1980. At NCNM he co-founded the Wellness Program in 1983, pursued his keen interest in clinical nutrition, homeopathy and botanical medicine and was active in student affairs. Upon graduation from NCNM Jim and his wife Karen, moved to North Carolina to begin a naturopathic medical practice in Chapel Hill. In 1986 Jim co-founded the NC Association of naturopathic physicians (NCANP) that joined forces with the AANP.

In 1989 Jim returned to Portland, Oregon and worked in private practice and learned the art of formulating nutritional products through working with successful supplement companies. From 1993-95 Jim served on the board of the AANP as the chair of Public Relations. In 1995 Jim and Karen moved to Durango, Colorado to start another practice and help Colorado get a naturopathic law in that state. In 1996 Jim founded Mountain Peak Nutritionals (MPN) that featured condition specific formulas®. In 2002 Jim and Karen moved back to Portland where they continue to grow and nurture MPN. In 2014 Jim co-founded the naturopathic psychospiritual collaborative where he continues to explore the mind, body, heart and soul connection.

Roy Huggins, LPC, NCC

Bio: Roy Huggins, LPC, NCC, is a counselor in private practice who also directs Person-Centered Tech. Roy worked as a professional Web developer for 7 years before changing paths, and makes it his mission to grow clinicians’ understanding of the Internet and other electronic communications mediums for the future of our practices and our professions. Roy is an adjunct instructor at the Portland State University Counseling program where he teaches Ethics, and is a member of the Zur Institute advisory board. He has acted as a subject matter expert on HIPAA, security and clinical use of technology for Counseling licensure boards and both state and national mental health professional organizations. He has co-authored or authored 2 book chapters, and he routinely consults with mental health colleagues on ethical and practical issues surrounding tech in clinical practice. He served for 5 years on the board of the Oregon Mental Health Counselors Association and then the Oregon Counseling Association as the Technology Committee Chair.

Hilary Farberow-Stuart, ND

Bio: Dr. Hilary Farberow Stuart graduated from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in 1987. As a Naturopathic Physician, she has specialized in the psycho-spiritual treatment of physical disease, and over the past 30 years in practice has developed a system which allows for the understanding and exploration of the human being beyond the physical body, through a multi-level model. She calls this system “Wholehearted Healing”. With a BA in Psychology, certification in Healing From the Body Level Up, NLP and other forms of Energy Psychology, as well as training in Clinical Hypnotherapy, Cranial Sacral Therapy, and Enneagram graduate study, Hilary also completed the Nondual Training for Teachers and Therapists course and is a coach in Radiant Mind with Peter Fenner, Ph.D. Dr. Farberow Stuart is one of the founding members of the Naturopathic Psychospiritual Collaborative, and served as Secretary on the Board of the Center for Nondual Awareness. In Portland, she works in private practice, teaches “Wholehearted Healing, a Map of the Human System”, and “The Dance of Light” an art workshop. She gets great joy from her family, friends, art, Zumba, and her wonder dog Riley.
